1. Also known as e-waste or e-scrap. All electronics are recyclable. Here are just a few of the items that can be recycled, computers, monitors, keyboards, laptops, printers, scanners, cell phones, refrigerators and televisions.
  2. Call to see if you can donate your old electronics. In some cases, you may have to do some work on the items before bringing them in for recycling. For example, some types of refrigerators or air conditioners will need to be drained of certain liquids. And don't forget to properly dispose of those harmful liquids.
  3. Most of electronic recycling includes taking good parts and swapping them out for broken parts. That means that even if the electronic is broken, they can still be used in the recycling process.
  4. There can be curbside pick up of your electronics or you may have to drive your electronic waste to the nearest recycling center.
